02 December 2016 / Categories: News Christmas cheer for Care Workers Hard working Care Workers from Allied Healthcare in Sutton Coldfield had an early Christmas treat this month, when visit monitoring technology supplier CM2000 laid on a festive buffet and raffle in their office. The competition, (run by CM2000 to thank Care Workers for the fantastic work they do supporting the vulnerable in the community), was won by Allied Healthcare Sutton Coldfield branch. Mark Thomas from CM2000 said “Care Workers don’t have much opportunity to get together due to the nature of their work. We have been running these competitions for the last couple of years with great success.” An Allied spokesperson commented; “as we head towards Christmas it is important to recognise that many Care Workers won’t be taking a break from routine. This award given to Allied which can be passed onto our Care Workers is an important ‘thank you’ from our two companies to those that go the extra mile at this time of year”. Last year the TUC estimated that Care Workers were the largest group of workers on duty on 25 December. CM2000’s CallConfirmLive! allows office staff to see what is happening in the community in real-time and respond to missed or late visits. It offers reassurance to Service Users and has a number of lone worker safeguarding functions which are especially useful at this time of year with the dark evenings and prospects of bad weather.
